Frequently asked questions

Following an ‘As Found’ calibration, the equipment is given a full strip-down service which includes a full clean, repainting (if applicable), inspection, new lubrication and rebuild. An ‘As Left’ calibration is the final stage of the process.

The cost of additional repair work (new parts and/or man-hours) are not included in the standard service/calibration process and will be billed separately once you have given your authorisation. As a Service Contract client you will receive a 5% discount on parts and 10% discount on any additional man-hours required to complete the repair.

Payment for additional repairs will be strictly on a 30-day account basis.

We are a fully approved Enerpac-Sweeney service/repair/calibration facility and have longstanding relationships with many other tooling manufacturers. We are accredited to ISO/IEC 17025:2017, ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018

Over the past 20 years, we have calibrated in accordance with the OEMs instructions and guidelines. Our Calibration Laboratory is accredited to ISO/IEC 17025:2017. Our standard calibrations will be conducted from 20% to 100% of tool output rating (unless otherwise stated) and in a clockwise direction.

Of course, Counterclockwise calibrations can be accomplished but please ensure you inform us of this requirement. As for custom test ranges,  where possible these can be accommodated but subject to a deviation assessment to determine if your request is achievable on our equipment.  Calibration tests outside of our standard process will require additional fees but these can be included within your monthly contract statement.

We aim to have tooling from Service Contract clients turned around within 10 working days with a target of 15 working days for our Non-Service Contract clients. Although these targets are not contractual, we monitor them carefully. We meet these targets approximately 70% of the time. Delays may arise, particularly when repair work is required, due to authorisation to proceed or for the arrival of OEM parts that are not held in stock.
